Asante Phenix from the DMV USA, reveals his title track from his newest project “Golden Boy''. The single is packed with playful vibes and is guaranteed to keep the party going.

The simmering new track, titled "Dangerous," is premiering today on Variance, a preview of the singer's upcoming sophomore EP, which is expected to arrive this year. The song continues Phenix's stake in a unique space, as a first-generation American, whose parents immigrated to Maryland from Ghana, paying tribute to his cultural heritage in his art while also showcasing influence from the likes of Lauryn Hill, TLC and Usher.

Comparisons aside, Phenix has created a fusion masterpiece of epic proportions, to this day we are yet to see many people have two sounds dance around their complete opposition in such elegance. The only thing left for you now, is to listen.

Not much is known about Asante Phenix, but the newcomer’s Hi Tech Lo Life EP showcases a unique voice that will pique interest for fans of the genre. Lead track “Last Nite”, which the Brooklyn artist calls an ode to “embracing youth during confusing times,” is smooth and futuristic, sweeping over its of-the-moment minimalist beat.

Plenty of R&B is about the mechanics of sex and seduction, but Phenix explores what happens during the mundane quiet moments in between the sexy times.
